After our "accidental exercise" yesterday, we set out from Pompeii headed to Nerano. Specifically to eat spaghetti with zucchini at LoScoglio and spend 2 days staring at the Mediterranean.
About half way into the trip, I began to have flashbacks of attending the fair as a youngster...always excited for the midway. The twisting and turning, the stops and starts were the highlight of the fair...
But, it's not the same when you are in the "older" group...the thrills aren't so thrilling anymore. The twisting and turning doesn't generate laughter anymore...I began experienced the condition known to many as, carsickness for the first time...
I was told the trick was to stare straight ahead and not out the side...only problem was, there wasn't any straight ahead...as soon as one turn was finished another turn was started...it was like going down the switchback road in San Franciso in hyper-drive.
Fortunately we made it without any cookie tossing and it was worth every minute for the view and the food. The weather is perfect, the people are so kind and the view is relaxing.
Now, to prepare to do it again on Sunday...maybe some cotton candy will help.
Great post! I can actually visualize that car trip, and yes, I am trying not to laugh at you turning green 🤢 I m sure the pasta and view of the Mediterranean will make it all worth while! Enjoy!!
