The 13.5 hour flights was just fine. No anxiety about being stuck in a metal tube for that long - Yay!
As predicted - each of us watched TV, read, and slept - although Jason said he didn’t get much sleep.
I was able to watch the pilot rotation - the seat across from me was used by at least 3 different pilots throughout the flight. Each of them had on what I can only call “old fashioned” men’s pajamas. Whoever’s turn it was - would go through the ‘secret’ door in uniform and reappear in pajamas. It was neat to see. I believe there were at least 4-6 pilots and 2-3 1st officers. Basically there were 4 folks in the cockpit.
We arrived and breezed through customs, walked around some shops - and almost missed our bus to the hotel as we all had a problem with military time - don’t laugh - we were tired.
The Hilton is very nice. Our room is on the 37th floor - nice views of this part of the city.
Now we are all in the room awaiting room service - we are very hungry.
Tomorrow we start the adventure in earnest - meet our driver at 9:00 am for a full day of sightseeing.
Not texting cause I don't want to wake y'all...glad the flight was great and ready to hear the adventures!
