Cliff of Mohr

Had a fun and relaxing day today. Left Galway heading to the Cliffs of Mohr.

Now I ask that you ponder this red light grouping   We have it figured out now -

We got there to very few cars and people.  The ticket booth guy gave us his spill - that we could leave and come back tomorrow - our tickets would still be good.   If you ask why he would say that - we were in the middle of a torrential downpour with about 30 mph winds.   Needless to say we took him up on his offer and made our way to our B & B

It’s super average looking but the views are amazing - pastures of horses and cows across the lane and beautiful views of the Atlantic

Here are some of todays pics

After the B&B we had lunch in the village where we are staying - Doolin - there were 4-5 places to eat - but all were jammed packed with tour bus folks.  So we settled on the last place.  Stood around for a bit and finally “sat” ourselves. Initially was told we would have to wait to order until all the bus tour folks were taken care of - but another server came round and took care of us right away.  The food was really good!

After lunch the sun came out and back to the cliffs we went. The cliffs were stunning

Had to take several “pauses” as we made our way up to the top

Here are 2 baby horses chowing down on blackberries and blackberry leaves

We are now waiting to go back to the village for dinner - we plan on having pizza at one place then heading a few doors down for live traditional Irish music at 9:00.

You’ll have to wait to find out if we stayed up past our bedtime (looking at you “shannon - I’m going to bed at 7:00pm”)

PS - had to choose breakfast for tomorrow - can anyone guess what we chose?
