Exploring Edinburgh has begun

Richard arrived safe and sound. Once he had taken a couple of breaths we were on the go

First stop was the blue line hop on hop off bus that would take us to the Royal Yacht Britannia.  It was an interesting tour.  To start off there was a Lego replica of the yacht!

Then we began touring the 400 foot boat. These are Prince Philips and the Queens bedrooms.  They have a connecting door between them.

There is only 1 double bed on the entire boat and they call that room the Honeymoon room   The bed was added at the request of prince charles for his and Diana’s honeymoon

This the state dining room.  Quite impressive.

Once we finished this tour we walked the royal mile - did some sightseeing and went to this local pub recommended by Richards taxi driver.   It was such a cool place.  Had some drinks and Richard ordered and ate a Haggis Tower. He said it was really tasty! Shan and I didn’t have the guts to try it

We then walked around some more and came across this bagpipe player

Then it was back to the hotel on a breezy cool evening. Shan took this picture of Edinburg Castle on our walk
