Today we went to the Florence Leather school. It is located in a Franciscan monastery that goes back to 1294. In addition to the school they have a retail store. Shan and I picked up a few things but left behind the $700 purse that was to die for!
You have to know this place is here as there were no signs on the street -
Being Saturday no students or artisans were working
We strolled a bit looking at shops and ended up at the Central Market for lunch. It’s this great 2 story building with stalls and booths for cheese, meats, veggies, spices etc. but upstairs is a huge food court with all sorts of options. We settled for a Florentine/Italian pulled pork plate. It was delicious!
Once finished we jumped on the tram back to the hotel as it had been raining on and off
Food looks amazing
