Slow day

 We didn’t get out and about till about noon as we had no firm plans.

We explored the Ponte Vecchio

The bridge only has jewelry shops - way back when Duke Fernandino made a proclamation that the butchers and tanners had to go due to using the river as a trash can and the horrific smell and said that the jewelers would make that their shop area 

An interesting tidbit - Italian jewelry is made with 18k gold. It has a darker rich color - very nice!

As we wandered we saw this interesting shop

It had tons of old silver items and used copper pans.  It was mesmerizing!

We continued our journey heading toward Cental Market for lunch of pulled pork - we liked it so much the other day we wanted it again

We then made our way to a local grocer - trying to find the perfect finishing salt.  Richard and I have become salt connoisseurs - but didn’t find anything special 

Back to the tram we went - have to say this tram has been great 90% of the time.  The stop is just a few steps from our hotel and drops us in the perfect city center location - all for the cheap cost of €1.70.  However!  Yesterday it suddenly stopped running and we spent €20 on a taxi -(sad face)

We are now being “bed” potatoes watching Big Bang

Tomorrow afternoon is our cooking class - very excited for this!
